Denture Repairs

Dentures, due to age, wear and tear, trauma or a poor fit, can result in breakage.

It can be as simple as a tooth breaking off the denture, a simple crack, or even an addition of a tooth or a clasp due to tooth extraction. A denture repair can take as little as 30 minutes, depending on the extent of the damage.

Denture Relines

Natural changes occur in our mouths over time - they are in a constant state of change. Gums shrink and resorb due to many reasons, such as, age, illness, bone or tooth loss. This results in the denture not fitting as well as it once did.

Adding new material to the base of the denture, improves the fitting surface. That is, the side that the denture meets your gums is modified and contoured to the "new" shape of the bone and gum.

This results in a better fitting, more comfortable denture.

We recommend that you have your denture checked every 12-24 months to check if a denture reline is necessary. Changes can occur slowly over time, so it can be hard to notice any differences straight away.
